The group writes the quiz, not the host

A quiz written by everyone, about everyone

The host adds the cast and shares one invite code. Every player opens it on their own phone and writes questions about the others, without seeing what anybody else has sent.

That solves the problem every home quiz has, which is that one person writes the whole thing, knows every answer, and cannot really play.

What it does

Everyone contributes

Three questions each from five people is a full show, and nobody had to plan an evening.

The pot stays secret

Nobody sees the submissions until they are on screen, including the host.

Templates for the stuck

Most likely to, who once, the story goes, or write the whole thing yourself.

Track who is missing

The host can see how many players have sent theirs and nudge the ones who have not.

How it works

Step 1

Add the cast

Everyone who will be in the room, including the ones who say they will not play.

Step 2

Share the code

One invite code, sent to the group chat. Players join in a browser, nothing to install.

Step 3

They write in secret

Each player writes questions about the others and adds a photo of themselves.

Step 4

Build the show

Quizriella arranges the pot into a running order and adds the segments between.

Why personal questions beat general knowledge

General knowledge measures who reads more. It is the same round in every house and nobody repeats it the next day.

Questions about your own group cannot be revised for, and getting one wrong about your own brother is a result the table will bring up for years.

The host gets to play

Because the questions arrive in secret, the host is reading most of them for the first time in front of the room.

That is usually where the evening actually turns, and it is impossible in any tool where the host writes the quiz.

Frequently asked questions

How many questions does each player need to send?

Three is the sensible minimum, and the player screen shows progress towards it. More is better, because the show gets longer and the host can cut the weak ones.

Can the host add questions too?

Yes. The editor holds the whole running order, so the host can write, rewrite or delete anything, and ask the producer to draft more.

Do players need an account?

No. They open the invite link, put in their name, and write. It happens in a browser on whatever phone they already have.
